Chicago Marathon Information
The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike. On Sunday, October 10, 2010, runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream. Following are all the details participants need to make sure they are ready for race day.
Location and Start Time Location: Grant Park, Chicago Marathon Start: 7:30 a.m. (CDT)
Participant Guide A 2010 Bank of America Chicago Marathon Participant Guide will be mailed to all registered participants approximately a month prior to race day. The mailed copy of the Participant Guide will include a Confirmation Ticket and important event information, timelines, details and maps.
Age Groups and Awards Participants will compete in the following Male and Female Age Groups: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. Personal engraved finish medals will be awarded to the top five finishers in the above Age Groups.
Nike Pace Teams Nike Pace Teams are comprised of marathon veteran who help others achieve their performance goals. Nike Pace Team Leaders will pace groups of runners according to the following finish times: 2:50, 3:00, 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40, 3:45, 3:50, 3:55, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00, 5:15, 5:30 and 5:45.
Team Competition Take your performance to the next level by forming a team and participating in the Team Competition. The Bank of America Chicago Marathon Team Competition is free and open to all runners, running club members, groups of friends, co-workers and corporate teams. The Team Competition offers two divisions: Red for competitive teams and Blue for runners of all abilities. The Team Competition offers Male, Female, Coed, and Masters categories, as well as combined finish time and age-graded scoring.
